There is massive celebration amongst the rank and file of the Department of State Security, DSS, otherwise known as SSS, following the news of the sacking of Yusuf Magaji Bichi and the appointment of Tosin Ajayi as his replacement. DSS sources told us Ajayi, a thoroughbred professional and disciplinarian has long been the most preferred successor to Bichi.
“We can now breathe in a fresh air. Ajayi is a disciplinarian and a thorough professional who will care for our welfare. We only pray he doesn’t get intoxicated with power like Bichi. We love him and we pray he succeeds,” a DSS source said. Ajayi was earlier announced as the DG, DSS after the sacking of the notoriously corrupt Bichi whose leadership saw his wife, Aisha, running affairs of the spy agency. Bichi’s wife was was not only abusing officers but was the main contractor in DSS.
