The former orphanage is guarded 24/7 by a local security firm called Alpha Omega. Pictures are taken of people and their associated license plates if they loiter outside for too long.
The groups leader is Abdullah Hashem, the self-proclaimed “Saviour of Mankind” and “true Pope,” leads the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL), a religious movement based at Webb House, Victoria Avenue, Crewe, Cheshire (CW2 7SQ).
The group, which originated in Iraq in 1999 and was formally established in 2015, Hashem, a US-born Egyptian, claims to be the Mahdi, a messianic figure in Shia Islam, and asserts he is the successor to both Jesus and Muhammad.
