A mid air disaster was averted only by sheer luck. The Nigerian Safety Investigation
Bureau (NSIB) has commenced an investigation into an Arik Air Boeing 737-7GL aircraft, with
registration number 5N-MJF, that experienced an in-flight engine issue and diverted to Benin Airport earlier today.
