Every indigene of the State residing in both the State and in the diaspora has been assured of the security of their lives together with every member of their families as the government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi was leaving nothing to chance in ensuring that the safety of their lives was guaranteed

The Special Adviser to Governor Fayemi on Security Matters, Brigadier Ebenezer Ogundana (Rtd.) gave these words of assurance while receiving representatives of the leadership of Ekiti Parapo, Lagos, who were on a courtesy visit to his office in Ado-Ekiti.
Bridagier Ogundana, who allayed the fears of Ekiti indigenes in the diaspora about the security situation in the State that has greatly discouraged Ekiti people in diaspora from coming home, urged them to discountenance negative news stories being carried by some social media about security condition of the State as he described this as the handiwork of some disgruntled elements in the opposition camps as he said the security situation of the State was not as bad as being described.

While appreciating the genuine concern of the leadership of Ekiti Parapo, Lagos, the Special Adviser, who urged the organization to join efforts with government to further sustain the present peace condition being enjoyed in the State as he counseled them on the need to regularly visit the state in order to assist in taking the State to its next level, economically.
General Ogundana, who stated that all hands would be cooperatively placed on deck by government to constantly monitor all security black spots as anyone or group of individuals found engaging in any seen to threaten the peace of the State would be treated as common criminals.
All security agencies and stakeholders in the State are being involved in ensuring that the State enjoys absolute peace, Ogundana further stated.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, who is also the Public Relations Officer of the organization, Mr. Akintunde Babalola said they were sent on the home visit consequent upon negative security reports they receive about the state at their base.
Mr. Babalola, who showed the organization’s gratitude to Governor Kayode Fayemi and his comrades-in-government in ensuring that Ekiti State stands on its feet again, advised him to put in more efforts in curbing all security challenges that might crop up in the State.
While urging Ekiti people both at home and in the diaspora not to entertain any fear concerning the security situation in the State, Ekiti Parapo, Lagos’ Public Relations Officer assured of the safety of their lives.
While promising to relay a comprehensive report of the security situation of the State to his organization in Lagos, Babalola further promised that Ekiti Parapo, Lagos would work cooperatively with the State government in whatever capacity they were invited.
Other members of the delegation included the organization’s Social Secretary, Mr. Ajune Ogunjobi and the Welfare Officer, Mrs. Modupe Kolade.
