2026 is still far away that only God will determine who gets there. The cacophony of public dissonance against the ambitions of some gladiators in Oyebanji’s government is already threatening the much applauded programs of the regime. Why I concede that it is the fundamental right of anybody to aspire for any office but such ambition must not be driven by the position one occupies in trust for the public. It is my view that apart conferring undue advantage to the person, the government policies and programs will be executed selectively to favor his supporters and praise singers to the detriment of the larger public.
It is wanton ambition and preposterous for a Speaker and Deputy Speaker who barely spent a year in office to be scheming to be a member of House of Representatives or Deputy Governor.
How can one justify a Commissioner for Finance of the State for disturbing two bags of rice to165 wards and four bags of rice each to twelve wards in his home local government in his name instead of routing it through the Governor.
The nouvoue riche just wants to carve a political identity for himself in case he wants to contest for Governorship. He also sends twenty thousand naira each to selected members of the party randomly for selfish ambition. Is the money for these largesee from his salary as a Commissioner or from other sources?
The Commissioner for Environment and Special Adviser projects as well as Deputy Speaker are also on each other throats for representative ticket. For how long will Governor Oyebanji contend with these ambitious fellows? The damages they are doing to the reputation and good governance of Governor Oyebanji are incalculable. It is better he sacks them or ask them to ship in or shape out
