……447 retirees benefit since inception of JKF2
The Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Department,
PTAD, Mr. Afolabi Adebiyi has said that nothing less than four hundred
and forty seven (447) pensioners have received the cheques for their
gratuity since inception of the Governor Kayode Fayemi-led
administration in just one year.
Mr. Adebiyi who disclosed this while distributing gratuity cheque to
another set of 62 pensioners in Ado-Ekiti added that the gesture was a
clear demonstration of the governor’s commitment to the welfare of the
retirees and the elderly in the state.
He noted that with the commitment of the Fayemi-led administration to
the welfare of the pensioners and payment of gratuities, and the
increase of the money allocated for settlement of gratuity from 10
million to 100 million monthly, the issue of outstanding gratuities
will soon become a forgone issue and retirees will soon begin to take
their gratuity as soon as they leave the service.
The Executive Secretary advised the beneficiaries to beware of
scammers and keep their bank account and BVN number safe to keep their
money safe and secured from fraudsters.
Mr. Adebiyi also advised them to embark on profitable business or have
a fix bank account that can yield huge interest.
The Chairman of Nigeria Union of pensioners Ekiti State Chapter, Elder
Ayo Kumapayi commended the management of Ekiti State Pension
Transitional Arrangement Department for the proper arrangement and
orderly payment of the gratuities.
Elder Kumapayi charged the pensioners to take good care of themselves
while charging those still waiting in line to be patient, adding that
payment of gratuities is now orderly and regular since the inception
of Fayemi administration.
He assured that the state NUP will continue to look for ways to make
life more comfortable for the pensioners in the state and as well
continue to support the efforts of the government to improve the
welfare of the entire Ekiti people.
