The Ekiti State Government has approved the payment of the sum of four hundred and fifty eight million, seven hundred and ninety three thousand, ninety six naira ₦(M458,793,96) as severance benefits for Local Government political office holders in the State. This was contained in a press statement signed by the State Commissioner for Local Govt Affairs, Hon. Folorunso Olabode. The Statement read that the amount was for political office holders that served between 2022 and 2023 across the 16 LGovts of the State.
