Adamawa Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Stephen Mamza, has tested positive for coronavirus. He has subsequently gone into isolation and commenced treatment. Fleeing Ibadan, Oyo State serial killer, Sunday Shodipe, has been rearrested. Shodipe, 19, escaped from police custody on August 11, after confessing to killing no fewer than five persons in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State. He was believed to have killed the persons, mainly women, for ritual purposes. The spokesman of the Oyo State Police Command, Gbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the rearrest of Shodipe on Sunday. A High Court sitting in Mararaba, Nasarawa State on Friday restored the judgment nullifying the congress of the National Youths Council of Nigeria, which produced Comrade Saraigbe Sukubo as its national president. Gunmen on Friday attacked a police station at Ikolaba, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. The spokesman of the Oyo State Police Command, Gbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the development to Channels Television. Fadeyi said he got wind of the attack around 9pm and as such was not sure of the level of damage yet. He said station has been fortified by a tactical team, while investigations are ongoing. The motive of the gunmen, Channels Television report, was yet to be ascertained, but there are unconfirmed reports that a policeman was killed in the ensuing shootout.
