The Government of Cross River State has doled out N10 million grant to the first ten selected hotels in Calabar to give their facilities a facelift ahead of the Calabar Carnival. The grant was handed over on Tuesday at Marina Resort Calabar by the managing director of the state tourism board, Prince Ojoi Ekpenyong, on the directive of the state governor, Prince Bassey Otu. A Lagos State High Court in Ikeja has issued a restraining order against the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LSBCA), preventing them from further demolishing residential houses in 6th Avenue, Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State. Bishop Climate Wiseman, head of the Kingdom Church in Camberwell, told his followers they could “end up dropping dead” during the pandemic and told them to buy his £91 oil – a mixture of hyssop, cedarwood and olive oil.
