Senate Committee on Public Account has summoned the officials of Ministry of Solid Minerals for pocketing N2 billion meant to be remitted into the Federation account. The committee relied on the query of the Auditor General of the Federation of 2016 which is being considered by Senate Committee on Public Account chaired by Senator Mathew Urhogvide. Students of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Akoka, Lagos State, have staged a protest against the management of the school for allegedly installing CCTV cameras around the female hostels within the school premises. The protest broke out in the early hours of yesterday, after the School’s Dean of Students, Wahab Azeez, was alleged to have entered the hostel at midnight, to chase students out, over some behaviour he couldn’t condone which he saw via the cameras. The Independent National Electoral Commission says revision of electoral constituencies/adjustment of their boundaries are joint responsibilities of the commission and the National Assembly. The commission made the clarification in a statement by Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, in Abuja on Friday.
