All the 279 Nigerian schoolgirls released by kidnappers this week were on Wednesday reunited with their parents, in an emotional event overshadowed by chaos and shooting by security forces, an AFP reporter saw. The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) says it discovered that 6,722 companies, partnerships and enterprises with a banking turnover of N1 billion were not paying taxes as of May 2018. The Edo State Government has received doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines for distribution in the state. A statement issued by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Osarodion Ogie, disclosed that the doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines were in the state government’s custody, saying the government was finalising arrangements for its deployment across the state.
