The Senate on Tuesday received a formal request from President Muhammadu Buhari to confirm Halilu Ahmad Shaba as the Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency. The request was contained in a letter dated February 25, 2021 and read during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan. Mobayo also warned against the unauthorized/illegal use of siren, revolving light and use of unregistered spy plate numbers in the state. The Senate on Tuesday approved an amendment to the Child Right Act of 2003, banning persons convicted of sexual offence from working with children.
