The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the rain fell around Lawanson in Surulere, Apapa Road, Costain and Oyingbo areas of Lagos. The morning rain, which did not last more than 30 minutes, varied in intensity in the the different areas mentioned. The Kano government has confirmed the outbreak of diphtheria in 13 Local Government Areas of the State. The state Commissioner for Health, Aminu Tsanyawa, stated this at a briefing on Diphtheria and Lassa fever outbreaks in the state on Saturday.
