Seen some delusional posts about Nigeria signing some LGBTQ deal with EU and I think it is important to make some clarifications.
While the idea behind Samoa Agreement centers around equality in its entirety, it is important to clarify that Nigeria stayed away from that part of the deal as it had reservations with the use of certain terms that violates the nation’s definition of “GENDER” in its constitution.
Also, while there are inclusions that points directly to the scope of homosexualities, Nigeria has the right to chose which parts of the deal it wants to agree with and it has stated expressly that it won’t be adhering to this part that violated its laws.
