The leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Edo State Chapter has alleged that Hon. Justice V.O.A. Ovawie is handling matters of Justice with personal interest and partisanship.
According to a letter titled; “RE: ANSLEM OJEZUA ESO vs COL. DAVID IMUSE & ORS (SUIT NO: B/177/OS/19)” signed by Edo State APC acting Chairman, Col. David Imuse (Rtd.), and Secretary, Mr. Lawrence Okah; the party described Justice Ovawie’s act as unprofessional, abuse of court process, and therefore demand the transfer of the case to a ‘fair and just’ judge.
The acting Chairman, in the letter, said that the call is important to avert an order of interim injunction given by Hon. Justice Ovawie in contrast to the directives given in a Circular distributed by the Nigerian Bar Association Benin Branch that no court sitting on the date he gave the injunction.
The APC leader further argued that Justice Ovawie has breached several other court process in a bid to favour the claimant.
