Soliloquy
To me, I believe Ekiti should be the easiest State to develop in the whole federation. We have more than 8 major towns in Osun that can compare favourably with Ado- Ekiti, our golden hen.
Unarguably, as at today, Osogbo and Ilesa, Ile- Ife are bigger than Ado- Ekiti. The combination of Iragbiji, Ikirun to Ada is bigger than Ado- Ekiti. This is not to talk of Ede, Iwo, Iree, and some towns that have names. Yet, in Ekiti, Ado- Ekiti is all we have.
And when you leave Ado, the rest of the LGA headquarters is nothing to write about. So, what exactly are we celebrating?Our people are blinded by little crumbs from the masters’ table and are quick to celebrate little things that don’t compare with the huge amounts coming to the State monthly.
When are we going to get out of this self- imposed slavery? We keep on moving in circles.It’s quite unfortunate 😔🤔🤔
