…7 Strategic Committees Inaugurated, Ijero Constituency EKHA Member, Demola Ojo Appointed Campaign Coordinator
Preparations for the 2019 Local Government Elections in Ekiti State has reached pitch-fever level as both Political Parties (APC and PDP) have deployed political machineries across the 16 LGAs.
In Ijero LGA HQ today, various Campaign Committees namely; Advisory, Finance, Legal, Mobilisation, Security, Publicity and Media, and Women Mobilisation have been inaugurated.
Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Biodun Omoleye, formally inaugurated the Campaign Committee after they were introduced to stakeholders in the ceremony.
In his Speech, the Chief of Staff charged members of the inaugurated Committees to serve the Party diligently in an aim to achieve success at the forthcoming polls. He also asked members of the Party and Ijero community at large afford all Candidates the necessary support required to attain victory.
Hon. Omoleye also advised Party faithfuls to shun election violence and other disruptive actions before, during and after the elections.
Respected elderly political juggernauts within the community comprise the Advisory Committee membership namely; Chief Femi Oyebanjo, Chief Oluwole Ojo, Hon. Biodun Omoleye (Chief of Staff to Ekiti State Governor), Hon. Wunmi Ogunlola, Dr. Femi Thomas, Hon. Dapo Kolawole, Mrs. Dupe Bakare, Dr. Bayo Orire, Pa Olomojobi, Hon. Folowosele Abayomi, Hon. Jekoyemi, amongst others.
Proven grassrooters, Hon. Adeyemo Adeola (erstwhile Ijero LGA Chairman), Hon. Wunmi Ogunlola (Member, House of Representatives) amongst others with in-depth network into community relations form membership of the Mobilisation Committee for Youth and Women alike.
Hon. Wunmi Ogunlola, House of Rep. Member, also feature in the Legal Committee with other members including Barr. Dele Oloje, Barr. Asaolu Gbenro, and Barr. Tosin Oshundahunsi.
Members of the Finance Committee include; Dapo Kolawole, Dr. Femi Thomas, Hon. Ishola Akingbade, all elective post holders, all State Appointees from Ijero LGA to list a few.
Highly visible Social Media influencers at State and Grassroots levels, Journalists, Photographers, amongst others form the Media and Publicity Committee headed by Abiodun Borisade.
Members of Security Committee include; Hon. Olusola Waya, Rtd. Capt. Ayegbusi, amongst others.
In his Welcome Address, Ijero APC Chairman, James Awe assured indigenes of Ijero LGA that appointed members of various Committees will work effectively to the success of the Party at the Polls on December 7, 2019.
