The Ministry of Justice, Ekiti State requests comments from the public on “SEXUAL VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN (COMPULSORY TREATMENT AND CARE) BILL, 2020.”
The objectives of the proposed Law are:
1 . To provide immediate and adequate treatment of child victim of sexual violence;
2 . Ensure that any Hospital that receives or accepts any child victim of sexual violence for treatment immediately notify the nearest Police Station;
3 . Keep adequate medical record of the treatment given to any Child victim of sexual violence;
4. To establish a Sexual Assault Medical Response Scheme to facilitate free and qualitative medical treatment for children who are victims of sexual violence;
In furtherance of the commitment of the Fayemi led Administration to public participation in governance, the Ministry of Justice requests comments from the public on all aspects of the proposed Law.

Deadline for the submission of comments is Wednesday, 11th March, 2020 at midnight.
