The Attorney General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti State, Mr Olawale Fapohunda, on Friday 13th December 2019 celebrated Mr Dayo Apata, the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Federation on his conferment with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria and also presented awards of excellence to the six First Class graduates from the Nigerian Law School who are Ekiti indigenes.
Fapohunda while welcoming the special dignitaries to the event held at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, affirmed that Ekiti State is known for integrity, hard work & Excellence.
According to him, Dayo Apata, SAN has excelled both in the legal Profession and Public Service and has also contributed to the growth and development of Ekiti State.
The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi was thereafter called upon to present a gift to Mr. Dayo Apata, SAN.
Dayo Apata, SAN while responding appreciated God for His Grace upon his life. He also appreciated the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for the privilege given to him, to serve as the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Ekiti State during Fayemi’s First tenure in office as the Executive Governor of Ekiti State. Apata further noted that the appointment contributed in no small measure to his being conferred with the SAN title.
He also appreciated Fapohunda who was his boss while serving at the Ministry of Justice, Ekiti for his support, being a goal-getter and stand for excellence at all times.
The Attorney General at the event also honoured and commended the six Graduates of the Nigeria Law schools who are Ekiti indigenes and who made First Class from the Nigerian Law School at the 2019 Bar Finals examinations.
Their names are:
(1) Ojo Oluwaseun, From Ifaki Ekiti in Ido Osi Local Government of Ekiti State.
(2) Oluwajobi Victor Ayodele from Ilawe Ekiti, in Ekiti South West Local Government of Ekiti State.
(3) Ajayi Iyinoluwa Kemi, from Erijiyan Ekiti, in Ekiti West Local Government of Ekiti State.
Iyinoluwa Ajayi equally had a First Class Degree Honours from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
(4) Ajayi Esther Oreoluwa,from Imesi Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Government of Ekiti State.
(5) Bamisile Damilola Blessing, From Ado Ekiti, in Ado Ekiti Local Government of Ekiti State.
(6) Oluwakemi Eunice Alofe, From Erinmope Ekiti in Moba Local Government of Ekiti
State.
The 20 years old Oluwajobi Victor, who is the youngest among the first class celebrants, while responding on behalf of others, appreciated the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, the Attorney General Ekiti State, and the Ekiti State Government for the honour and kind gestures.
He however promised on behalf of others to keep up the good work and make the state proud.
