The Nigeria Police Force, Ekiti State Command wishes to use this medium to strongly debunk the circulated social media report that “it is now very dangerous traveling along the following roads after 5pm from IJESA ISU -ADO-EKITI, ILUPEJU-IKOLE, IJERO-ARAMOKO -ESA OKE JUNCTION, OSI-IGEDE EKITI, IWARAJA-EFON, ILE IFE JUNCTION -ILOKO JUNCTION, IPETU -ILE OLUJI”
2.The source of this social media report intent was to mis-inform, mislead and deceive the general public so as to create panic and achieve their mischievous goal.
3.All the aforementioned routes are safe for commuters.The Police Command under-cover operatives, safer Highway Patrols and Divisional Police Officers (DPO’s) have provided adequate security measures. The Nigeria Police Force as the lead agency for Internal Security Management and maintenance of Law and Order will at all time perform its constitutional and statutory duties of protection of life’s and property.
4.The Command is also aware of another social media report making rounds that the two (2) kidnapped victims OSENI KEHINDE ‘M’and OLADELE RUFUS ‘M’ are still held captive.
- The Ekiti State Command is happy to inform the good people of Ekiti State that both kidnapped victims have regained their freedom through the intensive effort of the Command operatives.
6.The Ekiti State Police Command however enjoined the general public to dis-associate themselves from circulating such false media report has it tends to truncate the relative peace being enjoyed in Ekiti State.
