
Ekiti reinstated LG Chairmen charged to key into Fayemi’s 5 pillars
developmental agenda
Ekiti State Commissioner for Local Government and Community
Development, Prof. Adio Folayan has charge all the reinstated Chairmen
and Co-coordinating Directors in all the Sixteen Local Government
Areas to key into the five pillars of Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s
administration in all their respective council areas.
Prof. Adio Folayan gave the charge during an inaugural meeting with
the eight reinstated Chairmen and the remaining eight Co-coordinating
Directors in Ado-Ekiti.
The Commissioner who described Dr. Fayemi as an articulate and
open-minded Governor noted that their reinstatement should be seen as
a rare opportunity to further contribute to the development of their
various local councils under the present administration.
He urged them not to allow their political lineage affect their
sincerity of purpose to work with the present administration, adding
that, Governor Fayemi is ready to work with them as one family to move
Ekiti State forward not minding their current political affiliation.
Mr. Adio Folayan advised them not to distant themselves from their
people but interrelate with them regularly to understand their
plights. He also urged them to give premium to workers welfare.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Ayoola Owolabi
charged the reinstated council bosses to use their administrative
experience to improve on their IGR and foster rapid development in
their council areas while advising the Co-coordinating Directors to
learn from them.
Responding on behalf of other Chairmen, the Chairman,
Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Dapo Olagunju commended
Governor Kayode Fayemi for his sincerity of purpose and determination
to ensure the overall development of Ekiti State.
Hon. Dapo Olagunju, who promised their unalloyed loyalty to the
government of Governor Kayode Fayemi said they will work assiduously
and replicate the five point Agenda of the Governor in all their
council areas.
