Ekiti under the visionary Governor Abiodun Oyebanji has achieved a notable reduction in its domestic debt, decreasing from ₦110.57 billion in Q4 2023 to ₦57.90 billion in Q1 2024, a significant ₦52.67 billion reduction.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration is credited for this achievement, reflecting commitment to responsible governance and efficient resources management.
The state also received high praise for transparency, scoring 92/100 and securing the 2nd position in the BudgIT State Fiscal Transparency League for Q1 2024.
According to the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun, “this impressive financial turnaround under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is an obvious effect of his commitment to duty, prudent and effective management of the State’s human and material resources.”
These achievements show how much progress Ekiti State has made under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership.
The state has reduced its debt significantly and scored well in fiscal transparency for Q1 2024, ranking 2nd in the BudgIT State Fiscal Transparency League.
Governor Oyebanji’s careful management of resources is clearly paying off to the admiration of her well meaning indigenes home and abroad.
Surely, Ekiti people got it right this time around, having been blessed with one of the major architects of the state who bears the burden of its founding fathers in the person of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
