
Ekiti State Government has disclosed the possibility of a Sports
Summit holding before the end of the year.
The Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Youth and Sports
Development, Mr. Yemi Owoseni, who made this known in Ado-Ekiti,
explained that the summit was organized to create a workable and
sustainable result-oriented sports policy.
Mr. Owoseni stressed the commitment of Governor Kayode Fayemi to make
positive impact in every aspect of public life and make life more
conducive for the people.
According to him, the summit would enable the identification of
challenges militating against sports development in the state.
He added that the summit would also allow a critical assessment of
existing infrastructure and reveal ways of overcoming identified
challenges.
Owoseni also solicited the support of all stakeholders towards the
success of the summit, stressing the need for active support of
corporate bodies and interested individuals towards achieving the
designed goals.
