EKSG/CBN charge MSMEs Development Fund to pay up
The Ekiti State government has called on the 10,315 beneficiaries of
the EKSG/CBN Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) Development
Fund to pay up in time to enable other members of the public benefit
from the scheme.
Commissioner for Investment, Trade and Industries, Mr. David
Olusoga made the call at a meeting with the Managing Directors of
Micro Finance Banks involved in the disbursement of the fund in his
office in Ado-Ekiti.
Mr. Olusoga who frowned at the recalcitrant attitude of some
beneficiaries to refunding the loan they obtained noted that a sum of
1.5 billion naira has been accessed and disbursed to 979 small and
medium entrepreneurs and 9,336 micro entrepreneurs.
He urged the Bank Managers to join hands with the ministry
to recover all outstanding loans.
