
EkSG hosts EU-UNICEF Water Supply & Sanitation Sector Reform Programme III Team
Ekiti State Government is poised to strengthening its partnership with all development partners working on various projects across the state.
The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji made this known in Ado-Ekiti while playing host to EU-UNICEF Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Reform Programme III Team led by Head of Section (Resilience & Nutrition), Mrs Montse Pantalean.

Mr. Oyebanji affirmed that every bit of contribution from the development partners will go a long way in assisting the administration to deliver on its mandate.
The State’s scribe who promised that the present government will not fail in its obligation to their various partners, assured that they will ensure all projects carried out across the state are sustained.
He called on communities where projects are being sited to take ownership of such projects after completion in order to effectively monitor their usage.
Lamenting dangers that open defecation poses to human health, the S.S.G. stressed that availability of portable water will to a large extent put an end to the menace in the society.

He expressed appreciation to the team for their humanitarian services across the state. Earlier, the head of Section (Resilience and Nutrition) of the EU-UNICEF Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Reform Programme III, Mrs Montse Pantalean commended the present administration for its commitment to the welfare of people of the state. She explained that 3 out of 4 communities visited have been certified open defecation free.
On the entourage of the European Union delegation is Permanent Secretary Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities and some other officials of the union.
