…as Governor Fayemi gives ownership back to Local Constituencies.
In ensuring an all inclusive governance system in Ekiti State, Governor Kayode Fayemi has initiated consultative forums across the Local Government Areas.
In Ijero Local Government Area, representatives of the state government held discussions with stakeholders on the programmes of Governor Fayemi tailored to implement the five pillars of his administration namely; Governance, Agriculture & Rural Development, Social Investments, Knowledge Economy and Infrastructure & Industrial Development.
In his address, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abiodun Omoleye said that the government is on the right track to implement the five point agenda of the present administration, saying that the Governor is set to run an all-inclusive government.
“The Governor is a visionary leader who has designed measures to implement his agenda effectively. He has also ensured that stakeholders at all levels will be consulted in due time on how best to implement policies that will bring about an immediate positive impact on communities across the state.
Also speaking, the representative of Ijero Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Demola Ojo also said that there are series of empowerment opportunities being initiated by the Governor through various Ministries and Agencies that are beneficial to community members.
He however pledged that qualified members of the constituencies will benefit from the various programmes.
“There are series of empowerment opportunities for our people accessible through relevant agencies. We are working earnestly to ensure our people don’t miss out on these opportunities such as; Agric/SMEs Scheme, Rice Farming Production Training, Anchor Borrower Fund amongst others,” he said.
The Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Dapo Kolawole who is also an indigene of Ijero Constituency, affirmed that the state government will continue to engage the people and seek their opinion on how best to serve them.
“It is important that the government get feedbacks from the people to know how best they can serve them. This government will continue to hold consultations with relevant stakeholders on how to move the state forward,” he said.
