EKSIEC to embark on tour of the 16 LGA electoral offices.
The Chairman and Members of Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC) will soon embark on a tour of the 16 local government areas electoral offices in preparation for the task ahead of them.
Speaking in Ado-Ekiti while on a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the State Government, the Chairman of the Commission, Rtd. Justice Babajide Aladejana said the tour became necessary to ascertain the current state of the offices in all the local councils.
Aladejana pledged on behalf of other members of the Commission to be distinct and outstanding in the discharge of their duties, stressing that the present EKSIEC will be outright departure from what has been obtainable in the state.
He urged people of the state to cease being passive and become actively involved in the choice of their leaders at all levels of governance.
The EKSIEC boss solicited prompt intervention of the Governor in solving the problems confronting the Commission.
Responding, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji said the Fayemi – led administration will leave no stone unturned to ensuring the success of the commission.
