
The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti State, Mr Olawale Fapohunda has paid a courtesy visit to the Head of Service, Mr. Ayodeji Ajayi on Monday, 7th October, 2019 in his office at the Old Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti.
In a release signed by the Ministry of Justice’ information officer, Seun Afolayan, Fapohunda, during the courtesy call, appreciated the Head of Service for his support on the recently concluded mock examination conducted for Legal Officers in the State and the September Attorney General’s Colloquium.
The Attorney General also lamented on the menace of violence against women and children in the State. He therefore called on the Head of Service to help sensitise civil servants on the need to assist in curbing the menace in the State.

He also called on the Head of Service to encourage civil servants to register their assets and liabilities to avoid unnecessary bureaucracy in deliminating property of Public servants who died intestate.
The Attorney General also pleaded that more Legal and Non-legal Officers be employed in the Ministry of Justice, particularly those who have been working on contract basis with the ministry for a long time.
The Head of Service while reacting, appreciated the Attorney General for the visit and said he would take necessary steps within his capacity to do the needful on the issues raised by the Attorney General.
In another development, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice also visited the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission,Sir Patrick Olubunmi Famosaya on Monday,7th October, 2019.
Fapohunda while addressing the Chairman, emphasised the need to recruit more lawyers to enhance Professionalism in handling legal matters in the civil service.
Famosaya, while responding, said the civil Service would collaborate with the Ministry of Justice to enhance Professionalism.
