Fayemi’s aide takes gospel of new values to EKSU
Students in Ekiti state have been tasked with coming up with new innovations that would reposition the state for economic growth.
This was the submission of the Special Assistant to Gov. Kayode Fayemi on Youth and Students Matters, Comr. Moses Ademiloye (JBS) who continued his familiarization visit to the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti yesterday.
While conveying the Governor’s happiness with the peaceful conduct of Student Union elections held days ago, He however, urged them to maintain calm amongst students and and support the government’s drive in rebuilding the Education sector within the state.
Comr. Ademiloye urged the students to continue to put their cerebral nature on display but should more importantly live a life of honor that would bring pride to the state.
‘Ekiti, is the land of Honour and as Students, we have a task to fully exploit the Governor’s interest in Knowledge economy and bring up new innovations. Also, we are restoring values, the state would no longer be the place were you’d hear stories about cult clashes or students engaging in cybercrime, we must engage in acts that would only bring honour to Ekiti state’.
He added that the Government of Dr Fayemi would not discriminate or attempt to play the ‘divide and rule’ tactics between the students. Hence, he urged the new SUG executive to be all inclusive in their engagements and truly unite the students.
Responding, the President- Elect of the Student Union, Comr. Oluwaseyi Gbadero who spoke on behalf of other student leaders promised their full support and cooperation in making the state a model for other states.
He however solicited the support of the Government of Dr John Kayode Fayemi in helping the University complete the ongoing infrastructural projects and ensure improved supply of electricity which had been faulty for the past four years.
