The Chairman, House Committee on Works and Transportation, Hon.
Gboyega Aribisogan has commended Ekiti Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi,
whose vision and mission are not for this period alone but for the
incoming generation.
Hon. Aribisogan, who made this remark while leading his members to
inspect some ongoing projects in the state, stated that the present
administration has invested so much into projects that would change
the present economic situation of Ekiti.
He said the Civic Centre, New Oja Oba Market in Ado-Ekiti, State
Pavilion as well as good road network, among others, inspected would
boost commercial activities, provide jobs for young graduates and as
well enhance effective transportation and all-round development.
The Chairman commended the Staff of Ministry of Works and
Transportation for effective monitoring of the projects, adding that
the contractors handling them worked to specification.
He urged them to be more committed to ensuring that the contracts were
delivered at the expected time.
Members of the Committee include Rt. Hon. Hakeem Jamiu, the Deputy
Speaker as the Vice Chairman, Hon. Awoyemi Oluwaseun, Hon. Idowu Tunde
and Hon. Ojo Ademola Martins as members.
