The federal government has announced its plans to establish an Information Communication Technology (ICT) hub in Ekiti State.
The project, which will be completed in 90 days, is aimed at enhancing economic growth in the state.
The announcement, made by Vice President, Kashim Shettima, was shared on the state government X handle on Friday, June 6.
The post reads: “The federal government has announced plans to establish an Information Communication Technology (ICT) hub in Ekiti State alongside the newly inaugurated MSME Clinics Garment Hub with the goal of enhancing economic growth in Ekiti State. The project is set for completion within 90 days.
“This announcement was made by the Vice President, His Excellency, Kashim Shettima, during the opening of the 3rd Expanded National MSME Clinics in Ado-Ekiti yesterday. During the event at Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fair Complex, the Vice President revealed that the ICT hub is in response to Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s request during a recent visit to the Presidential Villa.
“In addition to the ICT hub, the Vice President highlighted that the Federal Government will provide a 150,000 naira outright grant to 365 outstanding MSME beneficiaries at the Ekiti Fashion and Garment Hub, emphasizing President Tinubu’s commitment to economic development.”
