A public notice that was sent out informing the general public of a Governorship election petition Holden at Yola between Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru (Binani) and ten others (Petitioners ) , and His Excellency the executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and twenty others (Respondents) is slated to hold on 28th October,2023 is generating divergence comments by the member of the public.
Concerned Citizens, Politicians, loyalists and supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the People Democratic (PDP) are commenting in both social media and local media organizations on the outcome of the coming judgement
The Court which is to seat by 9am on Saturday (28th October) some politicians revealed that It is a day judgement will be passed in the interest of democracy.
A grassroots politician and a former Local Government Council Chairman (Lamurde), Hon Vrati S Nzonzo who is a strong Member of APC said that Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru (Binani) will be smiling home with a resounding Victory,believing that the Court will favor her.
Nzonzo recalled Binani’s political journey that is full of victory all through her life and this time around is an omen that will resurface again to Victory not only for herself, but for the entire state.
He boasted that Binani won the Governorship election of the last May polls that is why Barr Ari Hudu, the Adamawa State resident electoral commissioner (REC) declared her the winner of the election.
Another APC strong member who is a Binani ardent supporter and a former commissioner of information, Comrade Ahmad Sajoh in a chat on Whatsapp reiterated that the prayers of Adamawa People for Binani is speaking well.
He said Adamawa citizens are strongly behind Binani and massively voted for her in the last election.
According to him their prayers are strongly for her and God will likewise not ignored because the voice of men are the voice of God.
In a Whatsapp group that have the who and who of the Adamawa APC members (Adamawa APC Around table) opinions of party notable men were hopeful that the judgement on the 28th October is going to be for Binani
Some PDP members also are hopeful that the judgement is going to favor them.
The State Party organizing Secretary, Alhaji Hamza Madagali said PDP members are calm and peaceful because whatever good God has started will finish it to the end.
He said God has given the mandate to PDP and Fintiri has since settled down for work and everyone can witness to that fact that the Governor is working.
‘Is not thinking of any Tribunal case, what is in his mind is the way and manner to develop Adamawa State to an enviable stage.
“We as a party we have outgrown the tension of Court cases, we have seen it all, and all we have seen is God’s enabling Victory, I’m assuring you the 28th October Judgement can not be stated otherwise.”Hamza Said
Another PDP Man and a die-hard of Governor Ahmadu, Mr David Simon Dzallah said is confindence of the judgement to favor Fintiri.
While reiterating his confindence in the Nigerian court Simon said Fintiri has left an indelible mark in the sands of time that no Governor has worked they is working.
According to him , a scar of development is left in the minds of millions of people not only from Adamawa State but the whole of Nigeria.
He welcome the 28th October with Joy by saying that is going to be another time for Adamawa people to celebrate again.
Many of the Facebook, Whatsapp and twitter users are of the view that the judgement is a long awaited one by the people of the state. And delaying it is bringing tension in the heart of many.
A social media influencer, Bala Mohammed posted in his Facebook wall that the judgement is right on time to lay many issues to rest , especially political discourse by interest individuals and groups.
He Desccribed it as “very soon there is going to be political rest in my dear state. We will rest for now.”
Another Facebook user, Ali Gembu said , “Court of our Land, please we don’t want to hear about the case , we want to hear judgement on the case. We are tired, it lingers long.”
