Major General Aderonke Kale has just died. She was a consultant psychiatrist, she was the first woman in Nigerian history to become a major general in the Nigerian military. She was also the first woman in west africa to achieve this feat.
By the way, she is the mother of Yemi Kale, highly respected former statistician general of Nigeria.
