I used to play polo every week in Cirencester around the corner from where Charles lived, and he played there as well. It was an open secret that Charles and Camilla were an item, and when I brought it up at a barbecue party, her friends told me there was nothing wrong with it and that Diana was no saint either. Today, some lady is claiming that the stories about Rose Hanbury are lies, just like they did back when Diana was alive. I repeat, I went to Eton with a lot of these people. I knew five years ago about Rose Hanbury; it was spoken about at upper-class dinner parties. I know it is not a lie, just like I knew it was not a lie about Camilla.
When these people jump in and out of relationships, it is not my business. But when they have the cheek to attack people who have done them no harm, I get angry. I watched as that madman said that Harry and Meghan’s trip to Nigeria was as bad as when the Duke of Windsor and Mrs. Simpson went to visit Hitler in Nazi Germany and were given the same treatment as a head of state. Does he know what he is saying to the Nigerian government and people by comparing Nigeria to Nazi Germany because of his hatred of Prince Harry?
This Harry palaver has really lifted the lid off the real feelings that the British media and establishment have about not only Nigeria but Africa as well. When that other idiot said on TV that King Charles, the head of the Commonwealth, does not like going to Africa, does not like their culture, and prefers visiting White Commonwealth countries—let me see how many White Commonwealth countries there are: Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. If this is true, let him resign as the head of the Commonwealth and let the other 51 countries that are not White (India was included as a country Charles likes, but Indians are not White) go their own way.
We don’t need this man; we don’t appreciate the rubbish that comes from being associated with the House of Windsor. Let us Africans get rid of this man and his palaver. I know a lot of this is coming from the out-of-date fools in the Palace who encourage people to run their enemies down. It’s a dangerous game they play when they insult 230 million Black people. Nigeria is no more dangerous than the streets of London, where knife crime is a common event. I packed my bags from England when three of my neighbors in Chelsea were stabbed to death outside their multi-million-pound homes as they returned from work and opened their doors. Gangs waiting in the shadows to rob and kill people, and these poor victims were well-to-do investment bankers in Chelsea.
I knew Diana in passing; her friends were my friends from Eton and one friend helped write the book about her, and she lived in my building on the Old Brompton Road the floor below me . I knew her brother vaguely when we were both at Eton. I do not know Meghan Markle; I never met the woman. I am just amazed at the hatred aimed against her. One day, we will all hear a love tape like we did back in the day of William and whoever he is fooling around with because the apple has not fallen far from the tree. Then the so-called lies about poor William will be like the same old lies about poor Charles. I advise the House of Windsor to fix its own house before even attempting to slur Nigeria or Africa. We are not your slaves! Return our looted art and precious stones and apologize for the terrible crimes of the Empire; maybe then we will respect you.
