In 1980, Concord libeled the then Ogun State Governor, Chief Bisi Onabanjo. He did not order the arrest of the reporter who wrote the story. He simply sued for libel and he won. Those were the days of civilization. Today, one guy who calls himself professor Ayade, Governor of Cross Rivers State, decided to charge a journalist for treason over a publication which called him to account for some money. Jalingo is not on trial, Ayade is. This too shall pass.
