The New Policy by the Federal Government which forbids states from fixing Federal Roads should be reviewed urgently!
Two cases in mind here!
Very bad portion of the road in Apogbon Area of Lagos causing serious Traffic, the State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu directed public works Department to fix it immediately, but the Federal Director of Works claims it’s FG’s road and asked LASG to back off!
Another example is the Akure-Ikere Road in Ekiti State, both Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) of Ondo and Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti agreed to jointly fix it but FG told them To back off, even when the two states agreed not to seek refund!
We need those who care to listen to call the FG to order on this development as Nigerian are really suffering as a result of the terrible state of roads all over the country!
