In a formal handing over ceremony today 31st December 2019 at Ado-Ekiti, the baton of leadership in the ministry of finance and economic development ekiti State, Hon dapo kolawole occurred.
“With immense gratitude to God Almighty and the support of the staff of the Ministry of Finance & Economic Development, Ekiti State, led by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Sunday Adedeji Adebayo, the Directors and their dedicated team, the State Accountant General/Treasury Office, Mrs. Olarike T. Olayinka and her team and the Executive Secretary, Central Internal Audit, Mr. Babatunde Adesola and his team, I welcomed Mr. Ayoola Benedict Owolabi, the newly appointed Honourable State Commissioner for Finance & Economic Development in Ekiti State to his new office after he was sworn into Office today.”
No doubt the event of today marks a watershed in our dear state as this is the first time the Ministry, would enjoy a smooth transition of this nature.
I hereby express my heart-felt gratitude to God Almighty who is worthy of my Praise and to my leader, mentor and benefactor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, CON, Governor of Ekiti State and his amiable wife, Erelu, Oluomo, Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, who considered me suitable to serve in his administration between December 24, 2010 to October 15, 2014 and October 29th 2018 until now as the State Commissioner for Finance & Economic Development, and also for my recent appointment as an Executive Director, Finance & Accounts at the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, (FERMA), in Abuja to whom I am eternally grateful.
I also wish to express my gratitude to all my colleagues at the State Executive Council who enabled me tap from their depth of leadership skill, wisdom, knowledge and understanding at critical times and the workforce in the Public Service of the State for their dedication, professionalism and support. I am confident that their support would be generously extended to my successor in office.
I hereby wish Mr. Ayoola Benedict Owolabi, a successful tenor in office as the State Honourable Commissioner for Finance & Economic Development.
