The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria Lagos state branch has been urged to have a complimentary members of Executive to align with Governor of Lagos,Sanwoolu Babajide’s Technology vision so as to provide Pharmaceutical care in Nigeria.
The Keynote Address Speaker,Pharmacist Inusa Bello disclosed this recently at the 2019 Scientific week held at Lagos state PSN secretariat Ogudu GRA ojota,while speaking on the THEME “Leveraging on Digital Technology for Improved Patient Care and Safety_A Disruptive Innovative Approach” that Pharmacist needed to think about Technology that are coming in the future that because Lagos is very strategic in vision,Governor Sanwoolu created an Innovative and Technology when he was unveiling his cabinet members then appointed Commissioner for Innovation and Technology that was a very wonderful development for Lagos is well ideal and well position to do this that Nigeria Pharmacists needed to include in their services.
He stated that the total number of Healthcare professional we have from Doctors to Dentists are less than 300,000 but if you look into the Digital platforms it is about 94 million people that are there on the Internet. He said it is advisable for Pharmacists to go to India and learn how Applications on Internet is created in order to proffer solutions to patient problems even on social media.
The Chairman for PSN,Pharm.mrs Adeniran Bolanle appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari during her opening address that the federal government of the Federation should approve the estimated funds to actualise the adjustment of CONHESS circular as it was done for CONMESS by the National salary,income and wages commission since 2017,saying also that Health workers need to be taken care of equally because the Doctors cannot do the work of Pharmacist in the Hospitals or do it alone and let the share of everyone be given equally.
