
The Olowo of Owo Palace in Owo, Ondo State is acclaimed to be the largest palace in Africa and was declared a national monument by the FG 🇳🇬 in 2000.
The palace, which sits on 180 acres of land, has 1,000 rooms, 100 court yards, 2 schools, museum, market among others.
The Olowo palace, which was built 1000 years ago, has been home to 13 traditional rulers of the ancient town.
The new Olowo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibaderinwa Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, is the 14th Traditional Ruler of Owo to make the Palace his home.
