
The comprehensive survey was conducted by NADF in collaboration with ARCN to identify strengths, gaps, opportunities, and constraints within Nigeria’s agricultural ecosystem with a view to address myriad of challenges in the sector.


The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, highlighted that the last comprehensive review of Nigeria’s agricultural research system was conducted during the tenure of President Shehu Shagari.
He commended the Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF), Mr. Mohammed Abu Ibrahim, for spearheading this initiative, which aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to elevate the country’s research capabilities to world-class standards.
The ongoing meeting focuses on validating the NADF Baseline/Needs Assessment Study of Agricultural Research Institutes and Federal Colleges of Agriculture in Nigeria, marking a significant step toward strengthening the nation’s agricultural research ecosystem.
