When I was a teenager, some songs were released and played on air, NBC banned them in no time. Those songs could now pass for gospel compared to the vulgar language used in virtually every song playing on our radio and TV stations these days.
These songs gratify every evil from free fraud, to pornography to violence yet NBC allows them play on our airways. One can’t afford to leave radio on and your kids are around while you probably step out. My daughter will say “mum listen to the bad things this one is saying” and she is just 6years old.
A friend even called my attention to all the raw and irritating words a DJ was using on a contemporary radio station here in Ado Ekiti few days ago. Is NBC sleeping on duty?
Our values are eroded enough and now should we shut our kids completely out of this uncensored system? What’s wrong with our regulatory bodies please? Can we just have a level of sanity in this nation!
SON and NAFDAC, I will have your time some day soon. Almost all big supermarkets here in Ado Ekiti sell adulterated and expired products with all your regulations. One of them is right beside SON office. There they sell fake baby food, fake chocolate, fake detergent……….
