The Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has expelled Honourable Success Taiwo Torukerijoh, who represents Ese-Odo state constituency in the house of Assembly.
The honourable member was expelled over alleged anti party activities and misrepresentation of the APC at the State Assembly.
The Leaders of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ese Odo Local Government Area on Sunday also said the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi must resign his position since he moved to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The leaders at a meeting held at Igbekebo, the local Government headquarters, criticised Mr. Ajayi for refusing to vacate his office.
They wondered why he decided to castigate the party that brought him to office.
The State Deputy chairman of the APC, Agabra Ikoto Atili who presided over the meeting similarly declared expelled, the member representing Ese-Odo constituency, Success Taiwo Torukerijoh for anti party activities and misrepresentation of the APC at the State Assembly.
The meeting was attended by notable leaders of the party, including the commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, deputy chief of Staff, Jimi Kuforiji, among others.
The motions were moved by Hon. Richard Omosehin and seconded jointly by Ojogo and Hon Corporal Nanaopiri.
Nigerian cable news online reported that Torukerijoh is one of the nine lawmakers opposing the impeachment of the state deputy governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi.
