The Inter party Advisory Council in Oyo State is becoming uncomfortable with the way the GSM led Government is going about the affairs of the state, As partners in the administering of affairs of our dear Oyo State and the information clearing house for the state citizens who are teeming members of various political parties.
The IPAC Secretary in Oyo State Engr. Gbeminiyi Ayodele Michael said, The request of #22.5billion approval from the Oyo State House Assembly is a target to plunge this state future into penury, that this government assume office less than 12months and has gotten #17.6billion loan and still seeking for another to make #40.1billion loan under one year of administering the state.
He further stress that the most disheartening issue is the rubber stamp House of Assembly that read and approve all request without scrutiny, so far all the 3 loan request had gotten a smooth ride to approval under the leadership of RT. Hon Debo Ogundoyin of 9th Assembly in the state. The #17.6billion loan that has been accessed has not make any visible positive impact on the state, either on the acclaim infrastructure or the upgrade of farm settlements. The Immediate past administration, The APC Ajumobi led administration took over 90billion loan within 8 years which has been the highest of any government in the state, the GSM Led administration would now have #40.1billion loan access within one year, which still have 3years yet in its mandate.
Ipac as partners in government for both ruling and opposition party frowns and strongly condemn the request, approvals and calls for cautions on loans in running the affairs of the state.
