Senator Ahmad Lawan from Yobe North Senatorial District has emerged the Senate President of the 9th National Assembly.
At a keenly contested senate presidential election in Abuja between Sen. Ahmad Lawan and Ali Ndume.
The Senator polled 79 votes to defeat his closest rival Sen. Ali Ndume Who polled 28 votes.
