
Tescom workers charged for higher performance
The Chairman of Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Hon
Babatunde Abegunde has charged workers to be alive to their
responsibilities and justify the confidence reposed in them as public
officers.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti during the weekly Monday prayer meeting with
members of staff, Hon Abegunde stressed the need for personnel to be
proactive at work place and to be obedient in all aspects especially
to the word of God.
The Tescom boss who counseled workers to resist temptations noting
that everyone shall reap whatever one sows in life advised staff to
shun truancy and indolence and work diligently to reciprocate
government kind gesture.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ayodele Ajimati advised
staff on unity and cooperation at workplace and the need to obey the
civil service rules and have job satisfaction.
In the same vein, the PS during his visit to all offices in Tescom
advised members of staff to shun late coming, gossiping, absenteeism
and take proper permission from necessary quarters before going
anywhere during office hours.
Responding on behalf of others, the Director of Finance and Accounts,
Mr. Ogunlade Lucas who appreciated the Chairman for being fatherly in
relating with the staff, pledged the loyalty of the entire staff to
the government of Governor.
He thereafter requested for a better office accommodation and
furniture for enhanced and more productive performance from the workers.
