On Saturday 12th May, 2018.The Banjulians changed the history books of leadership in Banjul from Mayor to Mayoress. Been a dynamic leader today, Sunday 12th May, 2019.Marks one successful year since she was elected as the First Mayoress. Below are some of her achievements in office with her energetic team:
•Dustbins to each and every household in Banjul. (Currently ongoing)
•Set up a Taskforce to make findings and give recommendations to Council for short and long term running of the Institution.
•Restructuring Banjul City Council
*Establishment of a

*Senior Procurement

•Maximize the revenue to 42%
•Re-Installment of Electricity and Water supply from NAWEC for B.C.C

•Settled all Bank Debts for B.C.C
•Scholarship awarded to 22 students in Banjul. (UTG, MDI and Ida’s Ideas Skill Training Centre)

•Full equipped Ambulance was given to the main referral hospital in Banjul (EFSTH) under her caring leadership.
•Increased the salary of staff to 50%, plus risk allowances provided to all Revenue collectors of Banjul City Council.

•Banjul City Council bought a brand new car for the office of the Mayor.
•Construction of a temporary Abbatoir at the Banjul Albert Market. (On going)
•Construction of stores and slabs for the women at the Banjul Albert Market.
•Construction of modern toilets at the Banjul Albert Market.(Ongoing)
•Banjul Rehabilitation Project (37km of Roads, Drainages and Sewages)
•Her administration recruited 45 young and well trained professional securities.To render security services to the general public.
•Her Worship and team influenced the change of the original road project at Talli Dawda, Tobacco Road(Campama Ward). Which was inter-lock blocks road to a solid concrete Road to serve the beneficiaries in the long run.
•B.C.C under the influencial leadership of Her Worship, the Lord Mayor of Banjul in close collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank, refurbished the round-about at the Independence Drive / Clarkson Junction.SCB donated 108 trashcans for Independence Drive Road, provided cleansing materials for the 20 hired street cleaners to use during work and will pay for their wages for the next 6 months as a pilot project
•Gazzetted the Trade license prices by reducing it for vendors in Banjul. So that it can be affordable by all.
•Her administration paid the counter part payment to GAMWORKS for the construction of a Multi-purpose Youth Center in Banjul.
•She also secured a project to provide advance led street lights for the entire City.
•Part of her governance strategy is the All inclusive approach – by engaging all relevant stakeholders more especially Civil Society Organizations in Banjul. Eg DOC Banjul. For the betterment and development of the City
•She initiated ROHEY MALICK LOWE WOMEN AND GIRLS EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE. By giving the Women of Banjul D10,000,000.00 to start or expand their businesses.
We have to celebrate her. Yes to women leadership.
