
It was a sigh of relief for Mallam Lukman Abdurraheem as he hands over the baton of leadership of The Muslim Congress to Alhaji Abdul Wasi Bangbala after he was appointed the new Amir (President) of the TMC.
Abdurraheem had paddled the canoe of affairs of the group for 11 years.
Also, Alhaji Hassan Adesina was appointed as the new Secretary-General of the group.
The appointments were announced at the 27th Annual Congress of the TMC on Monday in Lagos.
Bangbala was the immediate former National Secretary of TMC.

The outgoing TMC Amir, Abdurraheem, thanked members of the Congress and others for their support during his administration.
He said, “Alhamdulillahi !, Alhamdulillahi !!, Alhamdulillahi!!! I thank Allah, the Almighty for His mercy, blessings and guidance since 11 years as the Amir of The Muslim Congress.
“I handed over today successfully.
“I appreciate the support of all members, the non-Members and all Well-wishers for their unflinching moral, spiritual and financial support for our organization. Thanks for the brotherly love and patronage. Thanks.”
Bangbala in his acceptance speech promised to work assiduously in promoting pristine Islam as has been the core objectives of the TMC.
