Efforts at creating a noiseless Lagos is taking a serious shape as the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) clamped down on eight different religious outlets in the State.
While assuring that it won’t relent on its efforts at ensuring a livable ambience to all inhabitants of the State, the General Manager of the agency, Dr. Dolapo Fasewe stated that there would be no sacred cows in the exercise.
According to her, the clamp down which involved outlets of different religious inclinations will remain a continuous one, said it would be in conjunction with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Dr Fasawe however warned that those religious institutions known to be disturbing the peace of law-abiding Lagosians will not be spared of the consequences of their actions as stipulated in the law. She added that the exercise will cut across all Local government and Local Council Development Areas.
