Man who gave Tory party £300,000 owns apartment block ‘used by more than 100 prostitutes’
Theresa May is facing calls to give back almost £300,000 of donations after it emerged the donor owns a block of flats with ‘more than 100 prostitutes’ working from within.
Undercover reporters from The Sunday Times were able to make 40 bookings in 23 different apartments in the Chelsea Cloisters, which is owned, but not believed to be managed by, multi-millionaire 70-year-old Tory donor Christopher Moran.
Mr Moran’s lawyers ‘categorically denied’ he had acquiesced with or tolerated any prostitution in the building in Kensington, west London, and said he had not profited from its proceeds
Those who have visited the block allegedly refer to it as ‘ten floors of whores’ and online forums reportedly boast of the lewd acts they have paid the women to let them do, including one man who claimed he pushed a woman up against a wall by her throat.

The block of 670 flats reportedly earn him millions in rent every year.
It is claimed that around 250 of the flats can be rented short-term between a day and a year, making it an easy target for prostitution.
The Mail on Sunday reports that Mr Moran, who has an estimated net worth of £404 million, has previously donated £290,000 to the Conservative Party, £140,000 of which came directly from his company which owns and rents out the block.
There is no suggestion Mr Moran has any involvement with prostitution and is thought not to manage the building.
In a statement released through his lawyers, he said his management take a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to it.
One of the escort agencies that claims to have women in the block, Diva Escorts, allegedly says it had at least 100 women available on a single night with the women charging between £100 and £300.

On its website, another agency, 24hr London, says: ‘For the punters that knows best, the Chelsea Cloisters in London SW3 has always been notorious place for accommodating sexy London escorts in London. And the tradition continues today.’
The building also features regularly on UK Punting, a website regular users of prostitutes use, and is claimed to be a ‘hookers heaven’ and have ’10 floors of whores’.
One man reportedly said: ‘This past week alone, I have been to three different addresses in Chelsea Cloisters. Probably most of the flats in the past 10 years or so. In London terms, it’s akin to a battery farm.’
A resident said it was ‘obvious’ what was happening and was warned by his landlord before he even moved into the building.
He said: ‘You see lots of Eastern European girls walking around in dressing gowns and then loads of sleazy businessmen leaving their rooms at weird times of the day looking embarrassed. When you’re in the lift with them you can see them putting their wedding rings back on.’
The Sunday Times claims that many of the advertised women are from Romania, and a majority of them list their service as being a ‘GFE’ (girlfriend experience), meaning full intercourse.
Other services listed include ‘A-Levels’ (meaning anal sex) and ‘OWO’ (meaning oral sex without a condom), leading human-trafficking experts to believe that many of the women have been trafficked and are being coerced by a gang or pimp.
Leading anti-prostitution campaigner Julie Bindel said: ‘These are horrific revelations. Many, if not most, of the women being abused in prostitution in London will have been trafficked into the country and are working against their will.

One prostitute allegedly told an undercover reporter that in order for her to pay the £3,000 a month rent she had to see at least 30 ‘clients’ a month.
She said that on some days she might see four or five clients a day and on other days she may not see any.
She added that she charges around £150 a time, but will only keep £100 of this as the website she is advertised on will take £50 as commission.
The claims have made uncomfortable reading in view of Theresa May’s campaigning against sexual slavery, especially in the light of her pledge to eradicate human trafficking in the UK by 2030.
Mr Moran is currently the chairman of Co-operation Ireland, a charity that campaigns for peace.
He has previously described himself as ‘astronomically wealthy,’ having made his money on the insurance market Lloyd’s of London and on the stock market.
But in 1982 he became the first person to be thrown out of Lloyd’s of London for ‘discreditable acts’.
He is known to rub shoulders with royalty and two years ago hosted the Queen at his 30-bedroom home on the banks of the River Thames for a private function.
