I watched the televised abridged version on Channels TV.
While Moghalu believes that there is need for birth control by making it a law for a couple not to have more than two children and in the case of polygamy four children; one each from four wives, Chief Keyamo believes that our population should be harnessed by creating capacity for the unemployed and the unemployable.
Chief Keyamo cited the case of America that opened its borders to the world with a strategy of boosting the manpower of the country to drive home his point.
Mr. Moghalu on the other had relied on the China 1940 birth control law which has paid off in that country.
This is a debate that we all should be involved in. To me, birth control should be encouraged through enlightenment and not by legislation.
